World Economic Forum Report on Environment
As per the latest WEF report on environment, our country is on red alert in the environmental condition. In this phase and race of development, every country moves ahead neglecting the importance of the environment. That’s why our environment is in danger situation. This development stops the development of the nation in respect to the environment.
On this environmental performance, world economic forum released a report this Thursday. In this report, it placed India’s rank 177 out of 180 countries on the environmental performance index. India slipped 36 ranks from 141 in 2016 to 171 in 2017. World Economic Forum along with Yale and Columbia University presented the2016 report. Also, World economic forum report explores the essential features of the environmental condition of the society and the world.
This low ranking was linked to poor performance in environmental health policy and death due to air pollution categories. Reason responsible for this includes deforestation, harmful gases released industries, CFCS release from AC, refrigerator. Non-biodegradable waste is also responsible. this includes plastic bags and bottles, fertilizers, e-waste etc. Increasing population and excess use of natural resources lead to environmental degradation. THE WAY AHEAD
It should be the responsibility of every to make the environment clean. But there are many negative consequences of this environmental change. As this includes the gradual increase in the temperature of the earth surface. It also results in the melting of glaciers which leads to sea level rise. They should plant more and more trees. It should be at least 33% of the total geographical area. It is estimated that 2050, the temperature of the environment will rise 2 to 3 deg. Cel. That is sufficient for making one’s life more difficult. So “Contribute more to get more from the environment”
That being the case then what or who will help them see to it that more trees be planted ? How to get rid of all the trash?
